WRITING:  It's key to our lives.

If we blog we write.

If we create articles we are writers.

If we write novels we produce creative writing (and who knows, a work of genius?).

All of that being the case:
      • Do you know what makes one book outsell another

      • Do you want to know how to hold your readers' interests

      • Do you  need to locate resources to help with your grammar, spelling and writing skills?

      • How do you avoid being bored with your writing and stop others from being bored, too?

      • What the heck do they  mean, "writing what you know?"

      • Do you know where to look to find publishers of new or young writer's material?

      • Have you considered contests to motivate yourself, possibly win a bit of cash and get some exposure?

      • Have you considered all sorts of writing, not just one?

      • Have you thought about taking online classes?

      • Have you thought about what motivates you to write and why you perhaps avoid it?

      • Do you need some ideas on how to market your writing?

Right now someone is writing a screenplay or TV script that results in what we see at the movies or on TV every day.  Somewhere, someone is writing an article you'll read in a magazine.

Think about it, without writers pretty much everything in our everyday world would come to a grinding halt.

Who would write the scripts, the books (fiction and non-fiction), the articles for magazines and newspapers, the advertising copy, speeches, grant applications, brochures, greeting cards, webpages, blogs and all the rest that powers our world?

"The new writer faces fierce competition, but Peggy Bechko's new Ebook, Out of Thin Air, is here to give its readers an edge.  Peggy is a consummate pro, having published novels, written screenplays, taught classes, and on and on and on.  All her experience comes together in this book on writing for the young or just plain new writer.  Packed with advice, "war stories" about the start of her own career, resources, and common sense, Out of Thin Air provides a fresh, original and down-to earth push in the right direction.  Need something different from the usual "how-to" crowd of books?  Something as encouraging and inspirational as it is practical?  Then this is the book for you."

Easy to Read with Detailed Tips

Out of Thin Air is the result of more than 30 years experience as a writer all distilled into advice, tips and resources.

The first half is comprised of advice for the young and/or new writer, how-to's and hints for improving your communication skills and creating entertaining and riveting writing. Whether you choose to write fiction, scripts, articles or copy for advertising, you’ll find hints and helps that apply to most any avenue you decide to pursue.

The second half of the book puts forth many writers' resources available on the web.  Each site is one I've visited.  All have valuable information and even more resources.

And not just "writer's" websites, but others that offer help with grammar and spelling, world-building, educations opportunities in writing and more.

The book is taut and without fluff.  It leaves behind the dry and boring to bring you the enjoyably educational.

Created to be easy to follow this information-packed book will show you:

* How to breathe life into your characters

* How to add color, texture and depth to your story and characters or your articles or copy

* How to keep yourself organized

* How to create a writer's reference library over time with little cost

* How to get your writing moving with some simple exercises

* How to translate "writing what you know" into actual words on a page

* How to think about journaling and its uses

And that's the first half of the book.

"I've always been a fan of "how-to" books, and I have overloaded bookshelves to prove it.  I feel that if I find just one gem of wisdom in a book that cost just a few dollars, I have spent my money wisely.

Peggy Bechko's Out of Thin Air is one such book.  If you are a writer (newbie or veteran scribe), you face unbelievably stiff competition In the publishing field, especially in this free-fall economy.  You need an edge, and this book will provide you with one.

Peggy Bechko is a seasoned, professional author, yet she has obviously not forgotten the trials and tribulations new writers face (and yes, the terror).  Out of Thin Air provides page after page of solid, common sense advice for serious writers.  I highly recommend this excellent book."
